Couples are often hesitant to schedule their engagement shoot during the winter months when the landscape is a little bare and consideration needs to be put into warm clothing and layers, but there is something so special about winter engagement sessions. I think it’s that the colder weather encourages couples to get really close and cozy during the session, and the more muted colours of winter really allow the couple to stand out in the images.
I met Kaylee and Robin just before Christmas for their winter mountain engagement session at Wedge Pond in Kananaskis. It was a fun afternoon exploring the trail around the pond, and we left with some lovely images and frozen fingers!
